Can I drive my new car today?

Close

One of the best things about purchasing a brand new car is the ability to specify exactly how you want it to be. From the exterior finish to the upholstery, entertainment options to alloy wheels, it will be tailored to your demands. This, of course, means it takes time to get right so, while you may be eager to drive it the day you buy it, you will normally need to wait a few days or weeks until it’s been fully prepared. Our sales advisors will be able to provide more details on your day of purchase.

How can I pay for my new vehicle?

Close

There’s many ways to fund the purchase of a new car. While cash or in full may be beyond the means of many people, vehicle financing makes things far more affordable. Whether as a contract hire or Personal Contract Purchase agreement, you can enjoy low monthly repayments over an agreed period of time, making driving your vehicle manageable financially.

What deposit do you require to order a new car?

Close

Often, the level of deposit you pay will depend on your own circumstances. However, the greater the value of the deposit, the more favourable the terms of your financing agreement. This means you will be able to secure better rates of APR and thus enjoy lower monthly repayments. And, should you choose to make a payment at the end of your agreement to own the vehicle outright, this will also be more affordable.

Can I book a test drive before I complete a purchase?

Close

Absolutely. In fact, we recommend you always test drive a vehicle before you buy to ensure it is suitable for your requirements.

Is it better to lease or buy a car?

Close

There are benefits to both leasing and buying a vehicle outright. When leasing, for example, you have more flexibility to change vehicles on a regular basis. Plus, you may find that monthly repayments are more affordable. When purchasing, you will be able to pay less over a longer period of time and have ownership of the vehicle, meaning this is an asset you can sell in future.

Do you accept my vehicle as a part exchange?

Close

We do, subject to quality and condition. We’ll provide a fair and competitive quotation on any model you have, and enable you to part exchange as a deposit on one of the new or used models we have in stock.

Are there any dealer documentary fees or other dealer specific fees that I should know about before I purchase a new car?

Close

We aim to be as transparent with our pricing as possible, so check the individual financing terms for details on the full range of fees we charge.

How long does the warranty last and what does it cover?

Close

The warranty on any new Renault vehicle lasts for three years with unlimited mileage for the first 24 months, and up to 60,000 miles after the third year. This can be extended for an additional cost. The warranty covers the repair and replacement of any faulty components with a material or assembly defect.

Can I get a new car with a bad credit score?

Close

You can. Of course, the better your credit score the better the rates and offers you can benefit from. Speak to a member of our sales team today to learn more.

Is a new car more expensive to insure?

Close

One of the major factors in the cost of your insurance premium is the value for the vehicle being insured. So you may find that a newer car is slightly more expensive than a used model.

Are new cars more reliable?

Close

Having come straight off the production line and with a warranty to provide peace of mind, we like to believe that the reliability of a new car far exceeds that of a pre-owned vehicle.

Can new cars use conventional oil?

Close

Yes. Your handbook will detail the specific engine oil best suited to your vehicle. Alternatively, speak to a member of the aftersales team at Bennett Renault for more details.

Can I return my new car?

Close

If you are not satisfied with your vehicle, you may well be able to return to us within a certain period of time. Our sales advisors will provide you with full details at the time of purchase.
