     What is Motability? The Motability Scheme is a government-backed initiative that enables you to exchange an eligible mobility allowance for the lease on a brand-new car from the likes of Dacia.

    The scheme, which has been running since the 1970s, also provides the added bonus of including comprehensive insurance cover, breakdown and roadside assistance, annual road tax, and so much more.     Provided you’re in receipt of an eligible disability allowance that has 12 months’ award length remaining, you’ll be entitled to lease the Dacia Duster. We’ll be able to modify the car to make it easier for you to use too.
    How does it work? To be able to take advantage of the Motability Scheme, you should be in receipt of one of the following mobility supplements with at least 12 months’ award remaining:

    ● Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

    ● Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

    ● War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)

    ● Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

      If you would like to keep your current vehicle longer, please contact us and we’ll do our very best to help you. Or, if you wish to return your car, no problem (your Motability allowance will be reinstated in due course).​​

      I’m interested in joining the Motability Scheme – how do I know if I’m eligible?

      Provided you have at least 12 months remaining on your disability allowance, you are eligible for Motability. You’ll qualify as long as you’re in receipt of one of the following allowances:

      I’m eligible for Motability but can someone else drive the vehicle?

      Yes. You can choose up to three named drivers (family members, friends or carers) as part of your lease.​

      What happens when my Motability vehicle lease ends?

      You have three options:

      • Choose to lease another car for another three years
      • We might be able to let you lease your current car for longer
      • Return your car and have your disability allowance reinstated
